What would you risk to save a species?

After their mother’s death while time-traveling, teen sisters Dazzle and Radiance became their father’s right-hand helpers at the Holographic Safari, where tourists experience extinct animal species in all their 3-D glory. Despite chronic problems with their power grid, Daz’s father refuses to let her tinker with the battery bank – even though she knows she could fix it. Then Daz discovers what her father has really been hiding from them – the Brink Box time machine that transported her dead mother home eight years ago.

Daz has long suspected that she and Antsy don’t know the whole truth of their mother’s death. As she examines the Brink Box’s trip log and her mother’s notes, she learns that her mother had been using the Box for unauthorized trips – and that she died before she could complete her dream of saving African elephants from extinction. Daz is ready to pick up where her mother left off, but first she must puzzle out just how much of her timeline she can mess with, who else has been using the Brink Box since her mother died, and how much her father knows about any of it.
